PRESS RELEASE
Hartford Police Department Shop with a Cop
December 18, 2018
The 2018 Hartford Police Department Shop with a Cop was held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Walmart in Hartford. With the very generous donations of businesses, organizations, and citizens of the City of Hartford and the surrounding area, a total of 18 children were on hand to “Shop with a Cop,” impacting a total of 79 family members of our community.
After shopping, the children enjoyed lunch donated by Subway. They also played games and interacted with the officers while their gifts were wrapped by volunteers from Wellspring Community Church of Hartford. As usual, the big guy from the North Pole also made an appearance!
Westbury Bank again collected donations from their customers, donating $315 toward gifts. Thank you for your continued support of this great community program!
Members of the Hartford Police Department, officers from the Slinger and Town of Hartford Police Departments, chaplains, and Hartford Explorers donated their time to spend with the kids and help them shop for their families first and themselves last.
