Police Explorers

In 2006, the Hartford Police Department started its own Police Explorer Post. The Explorer Program is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America organization for young people age 14-21.

Purpose
The Explorer Program gives the participant an opportunity to learn about law enforcement from a different perspective, and assess it as a possible career choice. Explorer Posts can participate in multiple regional and national competitions.
Hartford Explorer Post Members
Hartford Explorers would compete with other Explorers at these events to demonstrate what they have learned about law enforcement in their respective programs.

The Police Explorer Post will also assist our officers with traffic control at special events and parades.

Program Interest
If you are interested in this program for yourself or your child please contact Sergeant Jim Zywicki at 262-673-2600.
